EPA Lead-Safe-Renovation

Recent Federal regulations require that contractors performing renovations that disturb painted surfaces in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 be certified and follow specific work practices.

Coast View Construction is an EPA-certified Lead-Safe-Renovation and Repair firm. If you are considering a renovation or remodel, Coast View Construction uses only EPA-approved construction procedures to insure our clients’ safety. It is a relatively simple test procedure to determine the presence of lead in the building envelope. Even the smallest and simplest remodel can expose dangerous lead dust. Proper EPA-approved work practices include:

  • EPA-LeadSafeCertFirm-logo-223x150Lead testing in remodel/renovation areas prior to construction
  • Documentation
  • Containment
  • Dust-minimizing work practices
  • Careful clean-up procedures
